One of our most popular 1-on-1 formats, the 1.5 hour lesson covers a range of technique and skills, and is adjusted to suit introductory and more advanced levels.
At an introductory level, our 1.5 hour lesson is suitable for relatively new paddlers looking for qualified advice on boat and paddle set-up and a concise introduction to the correct techniques and skills (including safety procedures) in relatively calm conditions. This lesson format is also appropriate for established paddlers who have not undertaken formal tuition before.
At a more advanced level, our 1.5 hour lessons are adjusted to suit more experienced paddlers, they can be conducted as a follow-up to to a previous session with a more specific focus, or run in rougher conditions to introduce essential open-water skills and techniques for tackling wind, waves and currents.
Our 1.5 hour 1-on-1 lessons are coached by Ben Maynard and Roz Barber in the Hobart area, and Richard McMinn in the Launceston area. You can find out more about our coaching team here.
